How Often Should I Post on Facebook?

Clients often ask me how often they should post on their Facebook page. Everyone wants to maximize their presence, but no one wants to get annoying.

What is the optimal frequency for Facebook sharing?

I advise posting on your Facebook page three times a week at a minimum, but more is better. Post every day if you can.

According to a study by HubSpot, Facebook pages with over 10,000 followers received more link clicks per post the more often the pages posted. But for pages with fewer than 10,000 followers (most small businesses) posting more than twice a day decreased the number of clicks per post.

You might feel too busy to post every day, but you can schedule your posts in advance to work around your own schedule. Screen shot showing where on Facebook you can find the place to schedule a post.

To schedule a post on Facebook, begin to make a post and then click the down arrow next to Publish. Choose Schedule. Pick the date and time and then click Schedule.

You can also use apps to help you schedule Facebook posts at optimum times, such as Hootsuite or Buffer. See which app is easier for you to organize your posts.
