CRMHS Case Study
The Client
Columbia River Mental Health Services (CRMHS) has been serving Southwest Washington since 1942, helping thousands of children, adults and families with personalized solutions to mental health, substance use, and crisis situations each year.
With a growing array of programs and clinics, CRMHS continues to expand access to life-saving care in the community.
The Challenge
CRMHS needed a strategic communications and marketing strategy to match its rapid organizational growth. As the nonprofit opened new clinics, expanded services, and increased community outreach, they faced challenges with brand consistency, digital presence, and effectively reaching clients, donors, and potential employees.
Objective
CRMHS’s main goals were to strengthen its brand identity and visibility, and improve digital platforms to better serve clients, partners, and the community.
The organization also needed support for recruitment efforts during a highly competitive healthcare workforce shortage and increased awareness and engagement for events and fundraising initiatives.
The Solution
To The Point Collaborative (TTPC) partnered with CRMHS for five years to deliver comprehensive fundraising, communications, and marketing support. TTPC worked closely with the CRMHS Executive Leadership team in order to create strategic plans and reach their communications goals.
Strategy
The ongoing communications efforts included:
- Social Media Management – Updating and creating social media accounts and developing engaging content to increase awareness, highlight services, and celebrate staff.
- Fundraising & Event Promotion – Creating campaigns that connect donors to CRMHS’s impact through storytelling and expanded marketing efforts for two annual fundraising events.
- Program & Clinic Launch Support – Driving visibility for new services and locations.

- Recruitment Marketing – Building awareness for career opportunities and supporting career fair participation.
- Website Enhancements – Overhauling the main CRMHS site and updating a secondary program website to improve accessibility and user experience.
- Branding & Design – Designing a refreshed brand identity, new program logos, and visual assets to ensure consistency across all platforms.
- Ongoing Design & Communications Support – Providing rapid-response design and strategy for day-to-day needs.
The Results
With TTPC’s support, CRMHS achieved greater visibility across every area of its work. The launch of new programs and clinics was met with cohesive communications strategies that gave staff, clients, and neighbors clear information and a sense of trust in the organization’s growth.
Social media engagement increased significantly, helping CRMHS connect more directly with the community and share stories of recovery and resilience.
Recruitment efforts also benefited from a stronger digital presence and branded organizational materials, giving CRMHS an edge in a competitive healthcare workforce environment. Fundraising and event promotions reached wider audiences, resulting in stronger donor engagement and deeper community support. With refreshed branding, new logos, and consistent design across all platforms, CRMHS was able to present a unified identity that matched the quality and professionalism of its services.
Together, these outcomes helped CRMHS strengthen its reputation as a leading provider of behavioral health services in Southwest Washington.
