My 3 Favorite Ways to Find Social Media Content
Sometimes you run out of relevant content to post on your social media channels. It happens to the best of us, especially when we’re just getting started. With a little preparation, you can avoid getting skunked and find the right content.
Creatively jumpstarting your content
Here are my three favorite resources to discover articles, images, and videos tailored to your audience’s needs.
-
- Facebook: Facebook pages have their own news feeds. If your page likes another page—you’ll find you have the option to “like” a page as yourself, or as your page—that page’s posts will show up on your page’s news feed (Pages Feed).
You can find this news feed on the right menu under the number of likes and follows. Use this opportunity to share the posts of partnering organizations and add your own commentary.
- Twitter: Create a Twitter list of people who tweet about the topics your audience wants to see and scan for relevant articles and news.
- Apps: You can use apps like Buzzsumo to recommend content for you based on a topic.
- Facebook: Facebook pages have their own news feeds. If your page likes another page—you’ll find you have the option to “like” a page as yourself, or as your page—that page’s posts will show up on your page’s news feed (Pages Feed).
These are some tactics meant to inspire. By curating the social media you see, you can find already-created content for social media that meets your needs. By customizing it with a note or intro—always crediting the original source!— you can share your finds with your audience.
